Labor Solidarity with Palestinan Unions Continue . . .
A union campaign supported by postal workers activists, CWA Local 7250, and the CWA for Palestine network continues to raise humanitarian funds for the working people of occupied Palestine, in partnership with the Palestinian Postal Service Workers Union, an affilate of the Communications Workers Union - Palestine.
The fundraising drive has succeeded in raising over $8000.00 for Palestinian workers facing a humantiarian crisis in the wake of the U.S.-supported genocidal assault on the people of Gaza and continued violence, apartheid and human rights violations in the West Bank. Aid to Kindergarten Workers in the West Bank
In March of 2026 the General Union of Kindergarten and Private School Workers in Hebron. The purpose of this support was to provide urgent humanitarian assistance to workers who lost their jobs due to the current situation and the wars that have affected the region in Palestine. Many of these workers are now living with very limited or no income.
The union used the funds to prepare approximately 40 food parcels for low-income kindergarten workers. The process was carried out with strong solidarity and voluntary effort.
The President of the Union personally organized the preparation and distribution of the food parcels. She used her own home as a temporary preparation space. Her family members, including her children, helped with packaging and organizing the parcels. In addition, several volunteers from the union participated in preparing and distributing the assistance to the workers.
A small portion of the funding was also used to organize joyful recreational activities for children in the kindergartens where these workers are employed, under the initiative: “Launching a Recovery and Peace Education Program.”
Food Vouchers for Postal Workers Families in Gaza
Later in March, for the first time, we were able to get aid in the form of food vouchers to Gaza. The Palestinian Postal Service Workers Union was able to make an arrangement with a Gaza supermarket whereby 40 low income families - including members of the union - received food vouchers. The beneficiary families expressed their deep appreciation and gratitude for this humanitarian effort. In particular, they conveyed sincere thanks to the campaign organizers and the supporting unions in the United States for standing in solidarity with them during these extremely challenging circumstances.
The PPSWU sent "before" and "after" pictures of the Gaza City Post Office showing the every day devastation the working people of Gaza live under in the wake of Israel's genocidal assault on the people of Gaza.
