Rove Bargaining Report #17 - 03/14/24
Rove Bargaining Report #17
March 14th 2024
Over the last 2 weeks we have met with the company 3 times.
The company still has not yet answered the neutrality and cardcheck proposal that was reintroduced, and though they complained about not being successful hiring in the Minnesota call center, they gutted the majority and rejected one of the proposals the Union passed to help bring in quality candidates.
The company rejected sick and safe time because they rolled it into their Paid Time Off (PTO) proposal. Someone dies? Give up Vacation time to grieve the loss. Need to care for sick kid or parent? Give up Vacation time. Got raped? Beat? Yep, that's what your vacation time (PTO) is for. Sound empathetic?
Good thing the bargaining team all got a copy of the book!

Rove Bargaining Report #16 – 2/29/2024
Bargaining Report 16
February 29, 2024
This week the Union team countered 3 prior proposals on Union activities, voting/election judge and jury/witness duty.
The company has stated numerous times across the table that they have been having a difficult time hiring call center workers in Minnesota, the Union team centered several new proposals around assisting the company in the new employee hiring process.
The company gutted the vacation and sick pay articles creating a paid time off proposal. They also rejected the Union proposal on bereavement, a key issue that the workers organized around... and this week the workers received a book about Empathy authored by the COO and chief bargainer for the company. Ironic?
Hold my beer.
We meet next week on Wednesday and Thursday for bargaining,

Rove Bargaining Report #15 – 2/21/2024
Rove Bargaining Report #15
2/21/2024
We met with the company on 2/20 and 2/21.
We introduced a proposal for Holidays which gives Rove workers the power to have a say and if they work they are fairly compensated.
We also introduced a proposal for Vacations and moved away from the current PTO all bucket which favors the company not the worker. Our proposal promotes a lengthy career for the employees with Seniority.
We meet next week on Wednesday and Thursday for bargaining,
